      Job Description:

      Continuous Improvement Engineer -Lewisburg, OH Onsite

      This is a critical role for Royal Canin NA to deliver commitments of sustainable growth. The incumbent in this role will need to collaborate across multiple departments and functions (i.e. R&D, Q&FS, S&F, Manufacturing, and Engineering) in order to diagnose, analyze and drive TRS and reductions in overall MCC/NQC.

      The successful incumbent will need to demonstrate key strengths in influencing without authority at all levels of the organization and negotiation skills to deliver sustainable change. The successful candidate will have strong problem solving and coaching skills, as well as a strong drive for results.

      What are we looking for?

      Education:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical discipline OR currently pursuing

      Knowledge / Experience:

      • 3+ years business experience in a Continuous Improvement Manufacturing environment

      • Ability to engage and lead teams

      • Demonstrated ability in leading change and situational leadership

      • Clear ability to relate to Associates across all levels of the organization

      • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

      • Excellent written and oral communication skills

      • Proficient in MS Office and SAP

      What will be your key responsibilities?

      • Develop technical capability on the site (machine and material interface)

      • Health of SRC systems: Leads identification of performance targets, documentation of standards, and coaches the managers, operators and technicians through execution, problem solving and change management.

      • Supports development and leads execution of portions of the site 90-Day and 1-year improvement plans to deliver the glidepath through loss elimination.

      • Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities to improve worker efficiency.

      • Lead Basic and Complex problem solving when issues occur, escalate complicated problems through the right forums and to the relevant teams

      • Develop and implement programs to address problems related to production, materials, safety, or quality.

      • Drive digital integration and digital transformation initiatives across the site.

      • Modify equipment or processes to improve resource or cost efficiency.

      • Is an active member of the Focused Improvement organization, working in partnership with (People) and (Asset) to deliver results for the site using MSE/TPM processes.

      • Responsible for building the skills of the operational teams. Driving the elimination of waste through the application of rigorous, data-driven, problem-solving processes.
