What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan and perform complex and multifaceted contract audits in accordance with internal audit and inspector general standards
- Participate in developing risk-based contract audits, including evaluating potential fraud, waste, and abuse
- Perform data analytics to identify and monitor assignment-specific risks
- Analyze inherent risks associated with audit clients and review risk mitigation measures
- Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to extract significant information for assigned projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited college or university in the US
- Three years of verified work experience in the internal audit profession or equivalent (contract management, quality assurance, compliance, and internal control)
- Certification (Active and Current) from a recognized professional organization in the field, such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Inspector General Auditor (CIGA), Certified Inspector General Investigator (CIGI), Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), or equivalent designations
- Preferred experience in conducting contract and internal audits of local government agencies
- Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, and practices for audits and investigations
- Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to utilize computer applications and software, including TeamMate Analytics
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 0-2 years of experience as an auditor or in a related role within a government agency
