What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate and triage incoming medical necessity review requests based on varied timelines
- Assign reviews to physicians based on requested service, appeal timeline, specialty alignment, availability, and workload
- Submit completed reviews to the requesting agency
- Enter accurate information into the appeals tracking system, including diagnosis and review statuses
- Schedule physician witnesses for hearings and coordinate across teams to resolve issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced administrative or support role, ideally in healthcare, legal, scheduling, or operations
- Willingness to travel minimally to Nashville, Tennessee
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accurate data entry capabilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate degree
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and confidential information with discretion
- Experience coordinating complex schedules and cross-functional collaboration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with PDF tools (e.g., Adobe)
- Demonstrates initiative and practical problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
