      MAJOR FUNCTION

      Performs program management and/or supervisory duties administering public funded programs in support of community needs.

      MAJOR DUTIES

      • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of grant and/or ad valorem funded programs to ensure that objectives are accomplished according to federal, state and local regulations.
      • Prepares al necessary documents and coordinates with team and customers to have final continuation contracts ready to prepare for signature by date specified.
      • Monitors and serves as liaison with federal, state and local representatives concerning funding sources for service programs.
      • Assists in updating procedures for monitoring of grant funded contracts.
      • Prepares contracts and monitors project/program administrative, fiscal and performance compliance to ensure good stewardship of grants awarded in accordance with CBHC contract manual.
      • Follows established program team procedures in collaboration with Supervisor and Director of Programs for corrective actions of funded providers.
      • Coordinates with other departments within own organization and external agencies/departments to ensure efficient communications, technical assistance and initiate corrective actions through a Provider Improvement Plan process (as applicable).
      • Completes annual data integrity check and contract evaluations with research team to ensure effective project/program outcomes, proper and accurate data collection and consistent evaluation practices.
      • Participates in funded program service observations or events and completes documentation.
      • Reviews or prepares provider special requests, budget modifications and/or contract amendments.
      • Performs other related duties as required.

      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

      • Extensive knowledge of contract monitoring and/or procedures related to public (government) grant administration.
      • Extensive knowledge of funding sources and associated requirements and regulations.
      • Skill in the application of managerial and organizational techniques.
      • Skill in making presentations to groups.
      • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
      • Ability to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.
      • Ability to collect, organize and evaluate data and to develop logical conclusions.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

      • Bilingual speaking and writing proficiency in Spanish and English preferred.
      • Graduation from an accredited four-year degree granting college or university; and
      • Three years of experience involving duties concerning research into, developing funding applications for, monitoring, planning, evaluating or contracting of community service programs.
        OR
        A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university; and
      • Two years of experience involving duties concerning research into, developing funding applications for, monitoring, planning, evaluating, or contracting of community service programs.


      APPOINTING AUTHORITY MAY REQUIRE

      Possession of a valid Driver License.
