      The Opportunity

      CEO is seeking a part time Remote Recruiter (Contract Position) with an exceptional eye for talent to support our Talent Acquisition Team. The Recruiter will support hiring managers in bringing on outstanding, values-aligned, and social-justice committed team members who support our program participants. The Recruiter will lead recruitment and hiring for an expanding portfolio of sites.

      This position is a 3-month contract position that has the possibility for extension based on organizational need. This is a great contract opportunity with flexible hours and the ability to work from home. We’re looking for an individual with several years of high volume full-cycle recruiting experience and a deep interest in helping a high impact organization grow its impact in communities across the country.

      Who We Are

      The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) provides employment services to people recently released from incarceration. Across the United States, 8,000-9,000 people participate in CEO each year, transitioning to employment that supports themselves, their families, and their communities.

      What began as a demonstration project of the Vera Institute of Justice in the 1970s to address employment barriers facing the formerly incarcerated following release in New York City has grown into the leading reentry employment organization in the country, where over 30,000 formerly incarcerated individuals have secured full-time employment since 1996.

      What You’ll Do:

      • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for positions, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers
      • Meet and collaborate with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies
      • Build and maintain a network of qualified candidates through proactive sourcing efforts, networking events, and referrals
      • Conduct thorough candidate assessments, evaluating qualifications, skills, and cultural fit to ensure alignment with must haves for assigned roles
      • Coordinate and schedule virtual interviews between candidates and hiring teams, facilitating communication and feedback throughout the interview process
      • Provide guidance and support to candidates throughout the recruitment journey, addressing inquiries, and delivering an excellent candidate experience
      • Partner with HR and legal teams to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the hiring process
      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in applicant tracking system (ATS) and other recruitment tools, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
      • Meet and monitor outlined recruitment metrics and performance indicators, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and optimize recruitment processes

      Who You Are:

      • You are eager to apply your experience and skill set to drive top-notch hiring within a fast-paced, mission-driven, and social justice-minded nonprofit organization
      • You are proficient in full-cycle recruiting (sourcing, recruiting, interviewing and closing); must have a proven track record in being able to effectively recruit remotely in a home-based office, meeting time to fill metrics.
      • You have proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Google Suite
      • You have a strong consultant orientation, demonstrated results in influencing stakeholders at all levels
      • You have a commitment to an exceptional candidate experience
      • You have the ability to work with little to no supervision
      • You are able to maintain confidentiality
      • You are an excellent communicator (verbal and written); able to collaborate, liaise, and negotiate with multiple constituencies and departments by tailoring communication to various audiences
      • You are experienced in using ATS (Greenhouse a huge plus)

      Compensation

      The hourly rate for this role is $40.00-45.00 per hour commensurate with demonstrated experience and abilities.
