What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan acquisitions for various services, programs, commodities, and construction contracts
- Develop solicitations, evaluate responses, and make award recommendations
- Monitor contract performance and conduct contract administration
- Provide advice and assistance related to contracting work and prepare correspondence
- Participate in compliance with Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Males must be registered for Selective Service
- Must meet DAWIA requirements applicable to the duties of the position
- Must maintain current certifications and meet continuing acquisition education requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a top secret clearance, including potential polygraph and drug testing
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in government contracting or procurement
- Familiarity with contract administration and performance monitoring
- Knowledge of regulations related to the contracting process
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
