What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure all contracts are compliant with State and Federal laws and policies
- Serve as a resource for staff and faculty regarding contract procedures and policies
- Review and process all contracts, maintaining organizational consistency
- Manage the SMU contract database system (iContracts) and maintain records
- Generate and distribute certificates of insurance and verify necessary paperwork
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of three to four years of experience in positions of increased responsibility, preferably in an academic setting
- Strong understanding of contract language and legal requirements for contracts
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Paralegal experience is a plus
- Familiarity with record management and contract law
- Experience working in a higher education environment
