- Assist Landstar contracted owner-operators (Business Capacity Owner) with initiation of payment settlement concerns
- Document all calls that require action either within Contractor Services and/or other departments, serving as the liaison between owner operators and all associated Landstar departments
- Perform follow-up calls and provide consistent monitoring of open concerns
- Evaluate financial statistics for owner-operators and make suggestions of how to increase net settlements
- Review/research owner-operator red file issues; debt balances and assist in resolution
- Contact owner operators to discuss and collect negative balances and unreturned pre-trip advances due to the company
- Provide approval/denial of financial advance requests up to $1,500
- Investigate trip paperwork issues and if possible, retrieve, label, and forward for processing
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- One year of customer support experience in a call center environment
- 6 months of transportation experience
- 6 months experience with financial responsibilities
- Above average phone etiquette: ability to remain objective in escalated situations, maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Ability to utilize internal resources for research purposes
- Excellent organization, communication, and documenting skills
- Strong mathematical skills; ability to understand financial information
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Ability to work in a time sensitive, constantly evolving environment
- Flexibility to work Saturday and holiday rotations as scheduled (minimal)

Salary rage: $17.72-$22.15 per hour, based on experience
What work will you perform?
As the first point of contact for independent truck owner-operators' payment settlements, you will address and resolve inquiries regarding payments and related details. Your role involves researching supporting information to ensure accurate resolutions and escalating issues to the appropriate department when necessary. By focusing on effective communication and understanding the needs of internal customers, you will drive effective outcomes to payment-related inquires; fostering owner-operator retention and promoting a high level of satisfaction.
