Job Description
- Req#: 55850BR
- Design and development of Control Panel – Bi-Directional and Electric Chargers to meet functional, reliability and durability goals
- Configuration engineering / Component designs related to Fabrications, packaging, and installation designs
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to understand and document the project requirements
- Understand the technical requirements and communicate with supplier for the development of components
- Conduct design reviews with the stakeholders, communicate results in a concise and accurate manner
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, purchasing during part development
- Support Engineering Services field personnel in technical resolution of field problems
- Be accountable for on-time schedule performance, project milestones, customer deliverables, and compliance with regulations and standards
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical /Electrical/ Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of experience
- Design work experience in advanced power system technology and products like Panels & Excitation Systems.
- Design experience in mounting structures / sheet metal / installation design experience
- Strong Autocad (3D CAD and 2D CAD)
- Preferred Experience with SAP (Enterprise Business System)
- Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Like to work in a fast paced, creative environment
- US Citizen or Green Card required
- Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
- Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
- Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
- Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
- Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
- Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
