Job Description
- Req#: 1260
- Control Panel layout and installation
- Mount and wire electrical components
- Install pneumatic devices complete with SST tubing
- Red-line fabrication drawings
- Quality in compliance with CSA Standards
- AC / DC power distribution wiring
- Perform point-to-point wiring, having knowledge of standard wiring procedures which includes proper wire routing, stripping, crimping and proper wire termination
- Work on Delta V Control Panels, PLCs, Fisher ROCs, Bristol RTUSs, RemVue compressor panels
- Work jointly with other technicians to produce panel as specified by the customer in the time frame requested.
- Responsible for a daily clean working environment
- Ensure engineering standards are properly adhered to as specified by drawings and CSA
- Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology; an asset
- Experience working in a manufacturing panel shop, an asset
- Electrical expertise in standards; CSA, Electrical Codes etc., an asset
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and / or pneumatic drawings
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- High degree of work ethic, with a strong attention to detail
- Exceptional team player
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs/23 kgs
- Standing for long periods of time while working on a panel
- Capable of bending and twisting while using hand tools such as hand-held drills, wrenches and screwdrivers
- Ability to kneel and squat for periods of time while working on a panel

Summary
We are recruiting for a Control Panel Technician (1 year temporary term) based out of our Calgary Solutions Centre. Reporting to the Manager, Solutions Centre, the successful candidate will be involved in producing customized control panels in accordance with customer blueprints/drawings.
