      Offering defined career path opportunities to enhance and develop your skills and experience, we are recruiting for Control Room Operative to work in our chilled warehouse operation at our Bristol (Avonmouth) depot on a full time, permanent contract.

      Job Description

      Shift: 4 on 4 off Rotating (07:00am-19:00pm/19:00-07:00am)

      Salary: £32,087.12 per annum

      Key Accountabilities

      • Smoothly coordinating and monitoring the warehouse operational processes so as to ensure the loads are picked and dispatched on time.
      • Competently using WMS, including graphics
      • Ability to make sufficient changes, quickly and accurately, via WMS, as and when requested by other areas within Culina
      • Accurate knowledge of WMS and warehouse system in order to correct faults via liaising with Control Room Support
      • Organising allocation of trailers to bays for loads to be completed in time for expected departure
      • Dealing with RDT issues
      • Effectively using data to control the system, rectifying faults and direct areas to the correct area of the system
      • Ability to effectively escalate issues / problems to any of the following: Technicians, Team Leaders, Shift Managers, IT Department and DAI
      • Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety rules within the working environment
      • Communicating regularly with Team Leader / Shift Manager regarding any issues that may arise within the warehouse
      • Adhere to clean as you go policy with a special focus on the Company’s recycling and waste management program
      • Ability to escalate issues not only with team leaders and shift managers but also with loaders, transport, transport planners, customer services, client support etc.
      • Investigate on CCTV
      • Dealing with shunters. Have to pay attention to any radio interactions.
      • Releasing orders, fixing any issues, making sure orders are planned
      • Ensuring xdocks are here on time, if not liaise with transport/planne

      Multitasking is a key to this role. The operation never stops!

      Qualifications

      Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

      • Previous experience working in a Warehouse/Logistics environment is desirable
      • Able to work under pressure
      • Competent in verbal and numerical reasoning
      • Attention to detail/accuracy.
