      Job Title: Controls Systems Engineer

      Job Description:
      Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for a Controls Systems Engineer to join their Software Systems Capability function. This role is not technical in nature but requires a strong documentation and compliance mindset. The engineer will support various programs by managing and validating control systems documentation, ensuring adherence to processes, and assisting with system requirements and verification.

      This position involves heavy documentation, cross-team collaboration, and compliance verification. Candidates must thrive under pressure and adhere to deadlines. While not a hands-on technical engineering role, familiarity with systems engineering and control systems is crucial.


      Responsibilities:

      • Review and validate high-level control and instrumentation system requirements

      • Analyze and translate high-level requirements into validated control system designs

      • Identify design constraints and ensure system quality attributes are met

      • Develop mathematical models and simulations of control/actuation systems

      • Define and execute test plans for system validation

      • Analyze test results and troubleshoot system issues

      • Collaborate with other disciplines to support overall component design

      • Produce detailed documentation, reports, and technical artifacts

      • Provide input for capacity planning and department strategy

      • Train and mentor others in system processes and tools as needed

      • Strong team player; will collaborate across all programs

      • Ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure

      • Fluent in Integrity and BitBucket tool suites (preferred)

      • Exceptional organizational and documentation skills

      • Not a hands-on technical role — focuses on compliance and documentation

      • Bachelor’s Degree required

      • One-round panel interview process

      Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s Degree (required)

      • Experience with system design, modeling, and simulation

      • Knowledge of plant/platform interfaces and control system architecture

      • Strong analytical and documentation skills

      • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

      • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

      • Demonstrated ability to manage risk, meet deadlines, and work cross-functionally

      • Proficiency in engineering design and analysis tools

      • Commitment to continuous learning and development
