      Purpose:

      As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, including ensuring a consistent and timely monthly close, accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, partnership with Treasury on payments, and oversight of audit and tax processes. The Controller reports directly to the CFO and leads a team based in Atlanta.

      Location: This is an onsite role based at our Corporate Office in Sandy Springs, GA, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

      What that looks like day to day:

      • Lead the monthly financial close process with a focus on consistency, timeliness, and strong attention to detail, all in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
      • Oversee the P2P (procure-to-pay) process, ensuring invoices are received, matched, categorized, and booked into the general ledger, and ultimately scheduled for timely payment.
      • Champion the implementation of uncompromising financial controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure unwavering compliance with regulatory standards, thereby fortifying the organization's financial integrity and sustainability.
      • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
      • Lead and mentor the accounting team based in Atlanta with possibility of supplemental resources offshore; provide training and support to develop direct reports as well as offshore te am’s skills and ensure their work aligns with company goals.
      • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
      • Ensure compliance with relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and financial reporting requirements.
      • Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
      • Plays a key leadership role in managing and ensuring data quality around ERP migration into NetSuite efforts as it pertains to accounting and finance.

      Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance, or related field ( Master’s degree preferred); CPA designation highly preferred.
      • 8–10 years in accounting, including financial reporting, internal controls, and leading teams. Experience in audit or CPA firms is beneficial.
      • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, financial modeling, and ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus).
      • Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle, month-end/year-end closings, financial reporting, internal controls, cash flow management, and treasury functions.
      • Proven ability to lead teams, including accountants, managers, and cross-functional groups across accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and financial analysis.
      • Understanding of financial laws, best practices, and integration of finance with broader business strategy (e.g., sales, marketing, operations).
      • Demonstrated proficiency in leadership and management strategies, with a track record of practical application.

      • Problem Solving and Decision Making – Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and make timely decisions, particularly in high-pressure situations.
