      WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS

      The administration and development of Procedures to ensure accurate material costs. This position encompasses cost center management, product costing, budgeting, monthly estimate and actual reporting. Under the direction of the Acrylic Products Operations Director, the Plant Controller audits the inventory system and maintains the standard cost system within the Acrylic Products business. This includes analyses of manufacturing variances for Acrylic Products operations in both Sanford and Osceola. The position includes special projects for the continuous improvement of the plant profitability.

      WHAT YOU WILL DO

      • Maintain, promote and enforce all company policies and practices pertaining to quality, safety, industrial hygiene, environmental and loss prevention. Perform internal plant ISO audits of the quality and environmental systems.

      • Maintain the standard cost system for Acrylic Products business North America. This includes, but not limited to,

      • the accuracy of the bill of materials,

      • the proper extension of manufacturing costs from the plants to the warehouses,

      • accurate master data,

      • set up new NMAT SBOM/Recipe/Production version,

      • set up costing and accounting view on ferts,

      • link Fert to NMAT/Recipe/Production version,

      • check configuration,

      • set up procurement alternative and mixed costing,

      • create/modify object dependencies,

      • modify and maintain existing NMATs,

      • add alternative BOM, set up cost on new RM part numbers,

      • set up subcontracting BOM’s

      • Responsible for all phases of production variance analysis & cost analysis for the Acrylic Products business. This includes monthly summary and explanation of variances as well as monthly review of production orders to insure accurate production and variance reporting.

      • Accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of manufacturing plan reviews, as needed.

      • Provide Plant Management, Business Management and Controlling with information to monitor and project plant operations which ultimately lead to business decisions. This includes providing cost estimates for new products.

      • Manage the preparation of the annual budget for Acrylic Products plant Cost centers.

      • Responsible for scheduling, resource preparation and reconciliation of all plant physical Inventories for products/materials. This includes, but not limited to, AP inventory monthly reporting, support consignment inventory reconciliations, support subcontracting inventory reconciliations , monthly plant physical inventories (raws, PMMA), plant physical inventories (finished goods), Annual Audited Physical Inventories, 3rd Party Warehouse Inventory Confirmations for Auditors (AP Locations).

      • Strive to improve and enhance SAP reporting. Includes working with manufacturing personnel to ensure accurate production reporting and IT personnel to address potential system enhancements.

      • Attend daily production meetings to stay abreast of happenings and plant activities, as needed

      • Keep Controlling Manager informed of all pertinent issues/problems/changes to manufacturing processes, etc.

      • Must maintain open lines of communication with the members of the Master Data Team (Local and Global) to ensure that costing is performed for all new products that are set up.

      • Attend Weekly Plant Manager meetings as needed

      WHAT WE ARE SEEKING

      • B.S Accounting degree or related Financial Management Major.
      • Five years accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment and at least two to three years experience in plant controlling/Cost Accounting
      • Knowledge of standard cost/full absorption.
      • Working knowledge of PC and spreadsheet/word processing software.
      • Strong analytical, communication, and Interpersonal skills.
      • Must have SAP Experience.
