Job Description

- Lead and manage all accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, job costing, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Oversee project billing, WIP reports, and cost-to-complete analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls
- Partner with project managers and operations teams to provide financial insights and budget oversight
- Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting processes
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax preparers, and financial institutions
- Lead a small accounting team and provide mentorship and support
- Recommend and implement process improvements and financial systems enhancements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus)
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller role
- Prior experience in the construction industry is required
- Strong understanding of job costing, project billing, and WIP reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, QuickBooks)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
