- Developing process specifications for data collection for machines of battery production lines within the Powertrain department with direct support from other engineers, managers, and support groups.
- Directly supporting other engineers related to controls of machinery
- Develop/manage overall collection of PLC, Touch Screen, NC Program data for all battery machinery
- Innovate creative solutions to breakthrough traditional barriers of manufacturing data collection / specifications with leadership from Sr. Engineer in controls.
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new processes as required
- Organize and guide cross functional activities across traditional company barriers with minimal assistance from management.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field or 10+ years of equivalent professional experience in PLC programming or networking
- PLC experience including the ability to develop from scratch +500 line programs - Not mandatory
- SQL / Oracle database experience – Postgres
- Experience developing code and troubleshooting communication protocols (ENET, ENET IP, RFID, RS232/485 and CC link
- Experience with computer software such as ignition programming for visual communications of and data transferring to servers
- Mitsubishi controls programming experience
- Siemens controls programming experience
- Ability for business travel, both domestic and international as needed up to 25% -
- Ability to work weekend and non-production weeks (such as July and December holidays) as needed. Upto 2
