- Working with domain authorities to research and develop a new generation of hardware and software to establish final control element performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to understand their process and valve control needs, develop use cases, generate processes, and develop overall solution requirements.
- Conduct controls analysis for electro-pneumatic systems.
- Design, setup and complete hardware, software, and electronics testing to validate performance and application.
- Support the Device Design, Software Design, Service, and Support teams with new feature/ product systems assessment.
- Develop content (intellectual property / patents, methodologies, white papers, articles, training, etc.) for served industries, peers and internal audiences.
- Take ownership in bringing value for our customers and keeping Fisher Control Valves the first choice in the mind of the end user.
- BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related STEM fields
- 5+ years of related work experience.
- Understanding and/or functional expertise in one or many of the following areas:
- Sophisticated control algorithms and system identification, e.g., for loop stability, robustness, and performance analysis.
- Basics of controls and modeling such as transfer functions (e.g., Laplace transformations) for mechanical and electronic elements.
- Multivariable control
- MATLAB and Simulink applications
- Analog and digital signal processing
- Pneumatic Systems
- Knowledge of one or more common programming languages, such as C/C++, C#, R, Python
- A successful candidate will have a passion for science and technology coupled with an ability to work in a team environment.
- Master's Degree in a related field
