      Markets Business Control Management maintains a strong and consistent control environment across the firm. With Control Managers appointed for each Line of Business, Function and Region, there is a comprehensive coverage and joint accountability model with the business executive that promotes early operational risk identification and assessment, effective design and evaluation of controls and sustainable solutions to mitigate operational risk.

      The Program team are part of Markets Business Control Managers and work with Business aligned Control Managers as well as with senior Business and Functional Managers to help the Business understand and manage Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risks.

      Job Description

      A Senior Program Manager is required to join the team responsible for leading the Firm wide efforts to deliver on regulatory commitments to implement enhancements to the control’s framework associated with the trade venue data governance. The trade venue data governance framework is designed to mitigate market conduct risks in the first line through to second line of defense trade surveillance, where appropriate, and other controls.

      The role will involve day to day management of the Firm’s response to an independent third party assessment of the program working in close partnership with program leads within the Corporate Investment Bank, Asset Wealth Management and Technology/Chief Information Officer businesses and other functional support groups like Operations, Technology, Controls, Compliance and Legal. The role offers an excellent platform for growth, opportunity to develop networks and deepen knowledge of businesses and functions within Corporate Investment Bank Markets and across the Firm.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Support the processes to ensure timely delivery of program materials to the independent third party.
      • Provide quality control over the processes, identify and implement process efficiencies where required.
      • Tracking of project / action plans.
      • Tracking of issues / risks / dependencies and facilitating communication across teams.
      • Assisting with the compilation and presentation of program MIS.
      • Oversight of effective, controlled project / action plan closeout.
      • Build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders in the different businesses.
      • Ensure proper governance is established around key projects and processes.
      • Preparation of program materials in support of updates to program, line-of-business and firmwide management forums.

      Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

      • Organized with ability to prioritize effectively.
      • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
      • Strong analytical, data management and problem-solving skills.
      • Good written and verbal communication skills with an ability to articulate complex issues concisely.
      • Good interpersonal and relationship building skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments, and organizations.
      • Ability to thrive in a changing work environment.
      • Ability to execute tasks against timelines with the ability to adapt to changes in plan if required.
      • Working knowledge of MS Excel (analytic functionality - pivot tables, v-lookups, use of formulas.), PowerPoint, and Visio
      • Project / Program management qualifications beneficial although not essential
