Job Description

- Clean food preparation areas, kitchen, dishes, and equipment
- Clean other areas of facility as directed
- Cook foods as directed and consistent with applicable laws, rules, and regulations as well as the facility’s policies and procedures
- Coordinate activities with food service staff
- Cut cooked or raw foods as directed
- Prepare foods for cooking and serving
- Serve food as directed
- Stock ingredients and monitor, food, beverage, and equipment/supplies inventory as directed
- Ensure that food is provided to residents consistent with orders or diet instructions
- Communicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisors

- High School Degree / GED
- Food Handler certification pursuant to requirements by the State (ServeSafe Certification preferred)
- 2+ years’ experience as a cook in a restaurant or institution
