      Job Overview

      Fairview is seeking a Cook for St. John's Hospital! This is a part time position that offers 40 hours per a 2-week pay period and is benefit eligible!

      Summary: Prepares and serves hot and cold foods for all customers using standardized recipes and accurate food handling techniques!

      Week 1

      Tuesday 6am - 230pm

      Saturday 6am - 230pm

      Sunday 6am - 230pm

      Week 2

      Monday 11am - 730pm

      Friday 6am - 230pm

      Responsibilities

      • Maintains knowledge of, and follows, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards
      • Actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements to achieve clinical happiness and efficient outcomes
      • Prepares food per standardized recipes, production sheets and department service times
      • Ensures food is prepared per standardized recipes and production sheets to maintain quality standards
      • Practices accurate infection control methods, including proper hand washing, and personal hygiene
      • Checks food for accurate temperature, flavor and appearance to ensure customer happiness
      • May assist with ordering, receiving and storage of food and supplies

      Required Qualifications:

      • No experience needed
      • Willingness to learn and develop

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • High school graduate or equivalent preferred

      Other Required Skills :

      • Ability to read, write and speak English. Demonstrates ability to follow written and oral directions, including recipes, production sheets, etc. Knowledge of large kitchen equipment and how to use equipment accurately. Knowledge of accurate food handling and sanitation techniques
      • Digital Literacy Basic: Ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (use a mouse, navigate in Windows, Outlook, etc)
      • Interpersonal Communication: Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, co-workers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection
      • Math Basic Skills: Knowledge and skills related to applying mathematical tools and methods for routine calculations
      • Organization: Effective management of projects and work load prioritizing; putting things together in an orderly and functional whole in a timely manner
      • Safety Testing and Practices: Knowledge and application of safety practices, fire and disaster policies and procedures; safety testing, performance verification, and operations procedures for various types of equipment

      Compensation Disclaimer

      The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract.
