Overview
Under limited supervision, provides general operation support to all nursing units, including floating of staff, maintaining ANSOS, daily monitoring of time and attendance, and completing of corrective actions information with distribution to the appropriate nurse manager on a daily basis. Monitors KRONOS for missed punches, check corrections, personal leave for all nursing units. Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges relative to bed assignment/activity in accordance with the hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Facilitate admissions/transfer to Shands Jacksonville and serves as a liaison to physicians, nursing, support staff and outside facilities. May also be assigned to Collect, compile and analyze reports upon request.
Qualifications
Required Education: GED or High School Diploma. Preferred Education: A.A. or specific certifications in field as required by department and medical terminology course. Necessary Skills: 1. Good working knowledge of generally used software/computer packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. 2. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 3. Ability to use critical thinking, problem solving and good judgment. 4. Working knowledge of specific departmental procedures as required by supervisor. 5. Ability to make decisions in high volume stressful environment. 6. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. 7. Ability to recognize and react to changing priorities. 8. Excellent customer service skills. Required Experience: 3-5 years - Customer service, some hospital/medical experience depending on department requirements. Preferred Experience: Accounting or budgeting procedures, two (2) years experience in a Healthcare environment.Required Education: GED or High School Diploma.
