      Now Hiring: Coordinating Doctor – Aviation & Maritime Assistance

      Are you a licensed physician with a passion for global medical coordination? MedAire, an International SOS company, is seeking a Coordinating Doctor to join our Global Response Center (GRC) team. This role is central to delivering high-quality medical assistance across aviation, maritime, and remote environments—supporting clients in critical moments, anywhere in the world

      Key Responsibilities

      Medical Assistance & Case Management

      • Lead and manage medical cases across aviation, maritime, and remote environments.
      • Conduct medical assessments and provide expert guidance on treatment, transport, and fitness to operate.
      • Coordinate with treating medical officers, clients, and internal teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
      • Support in-flight medical assistance overflow as a MedLink physician when required.
      • Ensure timely and accurate documentation and case handovers.

      Medical Transportation

      • Assess and coordinate medical evacuations and repatriations.
      • Liaise with airlines for medical clearance and escort arrangements.
      • Act as a medical escort when necessary and ensure readiness of emergency medical equipment.

      Medical Liaison & Reporting

      • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, clients, and internal stakeholders.
      • Produce detailed medical reports and updates.
      • Support service recovery and client engagement efforts.

      Training, Quality & Development

      • Support onboarding and continuous training of medical team members.
      • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
      • Participate in departmental meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development.

      Collaboration & Leadership

      • Work closely with Nurse Managers, Coordinating Nurses, and Shift Supervisors.
      • Provide leadership in case management and team development.
      • Positively represent MedAire and International SOS in all interactions.

      Qualifications & Experience

      Required:

      • Medical degree with full current registration to practice in Arizona or elsewhere in the U.S.
      • Minimum 5 years of post-graduate clinical experience.
      • Background in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care (Family/Internal Medicine with ER experience considered).
      • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
      • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
      • Willingness to work flexible hours and be accessible during on-call shifts.

      Preferred

      • Experience in Aviation Medicine, Assistance Medicine, Remote Area Medicine, or Telemedicine.
      • Spanish or Portuguese language skills.
