Job Description
- Req#: REQ16856
- Maintain general ledger, and monthly journal entries generated within the Controller's Office and from various departments within the organization.
- Participate in the month-end close as well as the year-end close process by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and performing necessary reviews and analyses.
- Maintain the accuracy of segment financials in the ERP system and perform the budget to actual analysis on the Housing Segment.
- Prepare the Honors College and Housing Segment's annual financial reports.
- Provides assistance with the FAU Finance Corporation audit and the preparation of the financial statements of FAU and its Direct Support Organizations.
- Exercises proficiency in GASB and GAAP Accounting Standards. Represents the department and the University in appropriate departmental, SUS, or State Committees.
- Serve as liaison with other departments across the University, including but not limited to Budget Office, Procurement Services, and Facilities Management.
- Communicates with the University community to ensure their accounting request and needs are met through the ticketing system as well as through emails and phone.
- Perform other job-related duties as deemed necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required. For some positions assigned to this class special qualifications may be added to the minimum, such as possession of a State of Florida CPA certificate.Salary:
$65,000 - $70,000 per year.
