      This is a remote position.

      Our client is the leading medical society for interventional cardiology professionals, representing more than 5,200 members across 75 countries. They are seeking a Finance Coordinator who will be responsible for general accounting functions which include accounts payable, accounts receivables; preparation of bank reconciliations; general ledger analysis and preparation of journal entries; review and preparation of daily cash receipts; assistance with month end closing procedures and annual audit; and special financial accounting projects.


      Responsibilities Include:


      Accounting

      · Input accounts payable and expense reports using bill.com (accounts payable software).

      · Accurately review payables completeness, proper coding, and approval.

      · Create new vendors in AP system and ensure signed electronic W-9 or W-8BEN is maintained.

      · Provide support to employees on the use of Bill.com.

      · Create invoices upon request of staff and notifications from Confex meeting management system

      · Confirm transactions in Intacct and Confex

      · Export batches from the membership database and import into Intacct

      · Perform monthly investment reconciliations.

      · Perform monthly bank reconciliations for the Association and our Political Action Committee

      · Investigate inconsistencies in Exhibits, Sponsorships etc. Confex reporting, Intacct, and Tracker

      · Assist with preparing monthly/quarterly end schedules supporting the general ledger

      · Answer financial related staff and phone inquiries as needed.

      · Generate reports, statements, and spreadsheets for internal use.

      · Assist with annual audit as requested.

      · Assist with forecasting and budget analysis as assigned.

      · Assist with 1099 production


      OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

      · Provide support for internal and external grant compliance.

      · Other duties as assigned.


      Requirements

      COMPETENCIES

      Education and Experience

      · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent in experience

      · Minimum of two years of experience in accounting, preferably in a non-profit and/or association management position

      · Experience in a multi-entity organization helpful


      Skills and Abilities

      · Accounting quality, high ethics, strong internal and external customer relations, teamwork and collaboration are key competencies desired.

      · Experience with automated accounting systems such as Intacct

      · Ability to work with others and treat others with respect, and earn trust

      · Ability to problem-solve and be collaborative with staff

      · Ability to make decisions with sound judgment, working with others as needed

      · Exhibit self-motivation and initiative

      · Ability to manage projects with many components.

      · Ability to multi-task and use time efficiently

      · Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

      · Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), and association management systems

      · Ability to adhere to tight schedules
