      Coordinator, Internal Communications (Contractor)

      Communications | Location: San Francisco Bay Area


      Chegg’s Internal Communications team is looking to bring on a proactive, hands-on Coordinator to support the growing need for employee-facing communications. In this role, we value more than just words—we're seeking a doer, someone who thrives on turning ideas into action.

      You'll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless, effective communication across departments, driving collaboration, and contributing to the overall success of communication within our organization. This work is critical in supporting Chegg’s employees across North America, Europe, India, and Israel.

      This is a great role for someone who is passionate about writing, extremely organized and detailed oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities.       Responsibilities & Requirements

      • Write and develop messaging around internal programs and announcements
      • Manage Internal Communications calendar / traffic tracker in SmartSheet
      • Contribute to communication plans for various announcements
      • Liase with and advise internal stakeholders on appropriate channels and scheduling for large communications as appropriate in the Internal Communications calendar
      • Ensure Intranet content is updated with each announcement and manage content carousels on the homepage and people manager homepage
      • Prep, format, and schedule / send internal emails using Staffbase email software
      • Develop visual content and manage content updates for U.S. office digital signage
      • Seek ways to improve communications, minimize communications ‘clutter’ and be on the cutting edge of different mediums of communications
      • Contribute to and be an additional resource for our internal events, including the monthly All Hands meetings and Chegg Chat / AMA programs
      • Collaborate with other communicators across the organization

      What We Look For In You

      • 2-3 years relevant experience in a corporate in-house role
      • Exceptional organizational and planning skills
      • Familiarity with internal email software (Staffbase/Bananatag, ContactMonkey, Mailchimp, etc)
      • Interest in intranet content management (Simpplr, Sharepoint, etc)
      • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, prioritizing clarity & brevity in all communications
      • Experience communicating to a globally distributed workforce
      • Able to balance speed and quality, with an acute sense of what matters most
      • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
      • Demonstrated experience with managing multiple timelines and deliverables simultaneously
      • Flexible and able to maintain a calm demeanor with shifting priorities
      • Able to think and do—someone who can both generate ideas and implement them
      • A growth mindset: with a thirst for learning and a constant desire to improve the way we communicate

      Nice To Haves

      • Experience with design and/or multimedia development
      • Direct experience managing content on a Simpplr-based intranet
      • Familiarity with project management software (SmartSheet)
      • Familiarity using digital signage system (KitKast)
