      Overview

      The Patient Flow/Bed Board Coordinator is responsible for optimizing patient flow by accurate and efficient management of the Environmental Services EPIC bed Board. The coordinator monitors activity on the bed board and assigns EVS resources needed to maintain efficient operations and optimize patient flow. This position works closely with Nursing Coordinators, Transport and unit leaders to coordinate logistics regarding patient status and bed availability. The Coordinator anticipates potential bed turnaround issues and intervenes appropriately to maintain efficient operations. This position oversees office/staff activities and is responsible for assigning and revising tasks as needed, serving as a point of contact and assisting with problem resolution.
      Qualifications

      Minimum Requirements and Education:: HS diploma with 3 years of administrative clerical experience, preferably in nursing, admissions or bed board management. Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite required; EPIC experience strongly preferred. Prior experience must demonstrate the ability to successfully work under pressure, multitask effectively and meet deadlines. Outstanding communication and customer service skills are required. Motor Vehicle Designation:: Employee in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a non-frequent driver Licensure/Certification/Registration:: None
