      Reporting to the Head, Enterprise Risk, the Coordinator, Risk Management will be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of systems and programs to improve the quality and consistency of risk assessment, treatment, and reporting for Teck and its subsidiaries globally.

      The Coordinator, Risk Management will act as a key resource to the Risk function, Risk Business Partners, and other internal collaborators. The successful candidate must possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to build and nurture positive working relationships with individuals of a diverse set of backgrounds.       Responsibilities:

      • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
      • Promotes continued adherence to existing risk management policies, procedures, and standards
      • Overall responsibility for ensuring risk information is appropriately recorded in Teck’s enterprise risk information system
      • Assist in the development of various risk management reports and presentations, including Board and Executive Management reports
      • Coordinate Risk function activities including scheduling of risk assessments, workshops, training and risk reviews
      • Design and deliver ongoing risk management training to Risk Champions, Risk and Control Owners, and other internal collaborators
      • Ensure policies, systems, and procedures are in place, resulting in greater risk preparedness and enhanced capability to respond to risk events
      • Support the development of effective risk treatment and loss prevention programs
      • Promote increased awareness and ownership of risk throughout Teck

      Qualifications:

      • Minimum five years of experience in related field or post-secondary education
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs
      • Experience with systems, data-entry
      • Effective written and verbal communication skills
      • Demonstrated eagerness for continuous improvement and willingness to take on additional responsibilities
      • Ability to proactively build and maintain relationships within various levels of the organization
      • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and provide a positive attitude towards change
      • Spanish language skills are an asset

      Salary Range: $64,000 - $79,000

      The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
