      Position Summary

      The Warranty Coordinator is responsible for identifying and analyzing all potential warranties for aircraft defects, component repairs, Service Life policy coverage, purchase incentives and credits, commitment letters, Service Bulletin industry support terms, reliability related failures and remedies. The Warranty Coordinator will ensure that all potential warranty is claimed and adjudicated until resolution.

      Essential Responsibilities

      • Review and analyze Contracts and Purchase Agreements for Conditions of Support, credit incentives, volume discounts, Turn Around Time (TAT) performance and penalties for potential claims.
      • Review and analyze aircraft line and heavy maintenance defects, and initiate claims for warrantable materials and labor covered by the existing warranty and service life policy.
      • Review of Aircraft Modification through Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters, Service News Letters, and Vendor Service Bulletins for Industry Support Information (ISI) terms for potential warranty claims such as Free of Charge Service Bulletins, Free of Charge Labor, Free of Charge Component repairs, etc.
      • Review and analyze repair quotations and components tear down and validate warranty decision.
      • Review and maintain Business Partners warranty terms and policies and update the Maintenance Information System (MIS) to reflect the most current repair warranty, new purchase warranty, and newly purchased aircraft warranty including components installed on delivery and Commitment Letters entitlements.
      • Maintain a database of all warranty claims and provide metrics report to management on a regular basis including credit tracking.
      • Review parts obsolescence attributed to modification or design change and initiate claim for credit or replacement.
      • Review all other departmental requests for warranty and Risk Management insurance claim.
      • Other tasks as assigned.

      Minimum Experience and Qualifications

      • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
      • One (1) year of aviation experience and able to use Aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalogue (AIPC) and Component Maintenance Manual (CMM)
      • Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills
      • Domestic and international travel required
      • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
        • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
      • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
      • Available for occasional overnight travel (up to 10%)
      • Must be in possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
      • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
      • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
      • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

      Preferred Experience and Qualifications

      • Associate’s degree in Aviation, Powerplant, Structures, Avionics, or Electronics
      • Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license
      • Prior experience in any of the following is preferred: coordination of aircraft materials, coordination of aircraft component repairs, coordination of business partner performance and/or warranty claims.
      • Two (2) years’ experience in aircraft and engine parts procurement, or experience in other high volume repairs or purchasing environments
      • Two (2) years’ inventory experience
      • Familiarity with Maintenance & Engineering database (such as TRAX)

      • Regular attendance and punctuality
      • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
      • Able to maintain a professional appearance
      • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

      • Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
      • Upholding JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understanding how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

      Work Environment:

      • Traditional Office Environment
      • Occasional work in materials warehouse and on aircraft during ground maintenance

      Physical Effort:

      • Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently. (Light)

      Compensation:

      • The base pay range for this position is between $23.00 and $30.00 per hour. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
