      The Copy Editor is part of the team responsible for editing and proofreading marketing collateral across the Amplify suite of products.


      **This is a part-time, contractor role.**

      Responsibilities of the Copy Editor:

      • Copy edit marketing collateral and emails to align with Amplify voice and writing style

      • Work with content creators to understand their intended meaning and improve on the clarity of their text

      • Ensure correct branding, trademarking, and in-house style, and editorial policies (Associated Press, APA)

      • Review and proofread marketing materials for errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling

      • Use specialized software for tracking changes, comments, and corrections.

      • Check the accuracy of names, titles, and details such as page references and material/resource references

      • Maintain a high level of attention to detail on multiple projects simultaneously.

      • Participate in team slacks and provide input when necessary to improve processes and clarify content questions.



      Basic Qualifications of the Copy Editor:

      • Bachelor’s degree

      • 4+ years of copy editing experience with a track record of producing clean documents on time

      • Advanced understanding of the English language, rules of grammar, punctuation, and other technical aspects of writing

      • Experience editing print and digital curricular materials

      • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

      Compensation:

      The hourly rate range for this role is $40.00-$50.00.
