      Job Summary:

      The Copywriter Content Manager is responsible for developing and managing engaging content that aligns with the marketing strategy, SEO best practices, and sales goals. This role involves conceptualizing, researching, writing, and editing content for various marketing initiatives across multiple retail electricity brands ensuring the voice of each brand and their guidelines are conveyed in our communications. The Copywriter Content Manager will collaborate with the marketing team, designers, and developers to ensure consistent and persuasive messaging across different media channels, such as web, email, direct mail, video, blogs, retail, and events. Proven foundational experience as a Senior Copywriter or a similar role is essential. Ideal candidate should also be comfortable authoring content that incorporates SEO- and data-driven insights. This writer is expected to adhere to brand standards and take initiative.

      Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

      • Lead compelling content that is value-driven, engaging, accurate, and appropriate for various audiences in the form of emails, website content, paid ads, social media posts, emergency communications, presentations, articles, brochures, etc., for a range of marketing channels rooted in SEO principles, segmentation application and the intent of retention/acquisition efforts.
      • Develop a deep understanding of business goals, products, and objectives, and effectively translate them into clear and engaging customer messages; creating strategy tied to data in creation and then to evaluate performance of that content.
      • As a strong leader, cultivate strong collaborative relationships with the creative team, project managers, acquisition/retention teams, and other cross-functional teams/vendors.
      • While leading the copywriting team, write/edit/review/education on content for clarity, consistency, brand and messaging accuracy, tone, overall cohesiveness, flow, grammar, and legal compliance.
      • Utilizing WorkFront, be able to assess the workloads, priorities, and ensuring the completion of projects in a timely and efficient completion of projects.
      • Take an active role in strategic and creative brainstorming sessions, providing leadership and guidance to generate fresh ideas.
      • Assume responsibility for ensuring that the copy fulfills the creative vision devised by project stakeholders and that the requirements have been met.
      • Responsible for maintaining corporate guidelines/standards for all published written material.
      • Remain current on the latest technology, interactive tools, industry trends, content management, usability and design methodologies.
      • Responsible for proofreading and reviewing all written content and providing guidance/coaching of copywriting team members.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Working Conditions:

      • Remote/Hybrid working environment.
      • Some overtime required as special projects arise.
      • Majority of work performed at a computer in a seated position.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or related field.
      • 3-5 years of leadership experience.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • 5-7 years of advertising/marketing copywriting experience, with at least 3 years interactive experience.
      • Experience writing creative content for emails, direct mail, websites, video, print campaigns and events.
      • Experience collaborating with multiple teams and job functions.
      • Industry experience in energy, wireless, airline, banking, insurance, consumer products is preferred.
      • Editorial portfolio review required. (writing samples)
      • Expertise in green living and sustainability programs/initiatives.
      • Excellent copywriting, editing, proofreading and grammar skills.
      • Broad understanding of how strategy translates into concept, brand and the importance of consistency in voice.
      • Strong interest in addressing and advocating for the end-user experience.
      • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
      • Strong project management and collaborative skills.
      • Mastery of MS Office programs.

      Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      • Bilingual skillset a plus.

      Physical Requirements:

      • Ability to work on a computer is required.
