Position Purpose/Summary: The Core Systems Administrator I is a technical expert in AIX/UNIX administration, automation and robotic process utility administration, batch/periodic core financial processing, and systems security. This position will establish and implement best practices to ensure core financial system availability remains in line with all department and corporate standards. Supports the performance and tuning of the production financial core environment through systems and process monitoring, forecasting and reporting.
Education & Experience: We pride ourselves in our advocacy for education, growth, and opportunity for experience at Visions Federal Credit Union. This position would minimally require an associate degree in Computer Science or other technology-related degree, and/or related combination of demonstrated skills and experience. Microsoft or IT industry related certifications preferred, or ability to achieve recognized qualifications/certifications. Minimum three years’ experience working within the credit union or financial industry in direct support of a core financial platform as an AIX system admin or similar.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Due to the nature of this role in dealing with senior management and employees on an on-going basis, the position requires (and is not limited to):
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Efficient time management and organizational skills; Flexibility (able to adapt to changing environment).
• Ability to use and/or learn variety of software as required for job/position.
• Proficiency with bash and TCL scripting, automation software such as OpCon, robotic process automation software such as UiPath, and AIX administration.
• Strong knowledge of IBM systems hardware and how each piece of equipment interacts with the others.
• Experience developing with system/enterprise automation software and enterprise content management system administration preferred.
• Positively communicate with diverse employee population while providing excellent customer service.
• Advanced computer and math skills, adherence to confidentiality, detail-orientedCompensation Range: $31.25/hr. - $43.27/hr. *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*
