- Prepare or review ledger account reconciliations, including but not limited to, bank accounts, prepaid and other assets, liabilities (PTO, payroll, etc.) and credit cards.
- Monitor coding to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and/or review general ledger entries and present financial reports on a monthly basis.
- Adhere to internal financial controls as directed by the Company’s Sarbanes-Oxley narratives, including sales journal verifications, bank, general ledger and subsidiary ledger account reconciliations, revenue testing, and other tests and procedures as required.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of various analyses and month-end schedules as required by management.
- Provide assistance to Property/Shared Services Accountants by addressing questions and issues, which will ensure the development of personnel and maintenance of an efficient workflow.
- Assist Accounting Management team on projects and analyses as needed to ensure deadlines are met.
- Perform special projects and/or other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work outside established schedule as needed to meet critical deadlines.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting. Exposure to income tax and consolidation accounting concepts preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate skills with Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior hotel experience preferred.
