      What is the opportunity?

      The Client Data Management team (CDM) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the static reference data for Capital Markets clients, counterparties, and other entities of interest. This data includes names, addresses, identifiers, classifications, hierarchies, and other attributes that are required for business and operational processes, regulatory monitoring and reporting, revenue reporting and client analytics, and Risk and Finance purposes. CDM maintains this information in the Client Data Repository (CDR) system, which acts as a central repository for master client records that are linked to accounts in trading and settlement systems, eliminating the operational overhead of needing multiple teams manage this information across multiple systems, ensuring consistency of this information across all consuming areas, and enabling the aggregation of client activity across different lines of business.

      The Corporate Actions Analyst is responsible for the proactive identification and investigation of material changes (ex. mergers, acquisitions, dissolutions, etc.) to entities of interest, and the coordination of the necessary reference data changes in CDR and the facilitation of associated tasks across Account Management, KYC, and various stakeholder teams.

      What will you do?

      • Review several sources (including external feeds or internal notifications) to identify corporate action events affecting entities of interest

      • Investigate and vet the details of corporate action events, and work with implicated teams to determine the necessary reference data updates

      • Notify stakeholder teams of corporate action events, and facilitate tasks across various implicated teams, for example KYC and Account Management

      • Produce metrics and report on the overall status of corporate actions processing

      • Perform UAT and PIV testing during CDR release cycles

      What you need to succeed?

      • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience

      • 1 - 2 years of prior relevant experience preferably in a financial institution

      • Experience with corporate action event types and processing

      • Relationship Management – proactively building effective relationships with key stakeholders

      • Investigation and research experience – able to translate real-world entities and relationships into a data model

      • Excellent communication skills – written and oral

      • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

      • SQL queries to perform lookups and to filter data based on criteria

      • Analyze large data sets using pivot tables and pivot reporting

      • Comparing different sources of data using SQL Joins or in Excel

      • Awareness of trading and settlement processes

      • Extracting data to present metrics and reports
