      Job Summary

      Support the development and implementation of programs, special projects and other related corporate initiatives to successfully achieve corporate goals. Lead and/or participate in project teams and operational units in their planning, research, analysis, project management and communication efforts.

      Minimum Qualifications

      1. Bachelor's degree and three years of analytics related experience (or one year of health care industry analytics experience in relevant/similar positions); or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
      2. Strong oral and written communicate skills.
      3. Demonstrated understanding of data analytics & process improvement.
      4. Knowledge of basic relevant statistical analyses.
      5. Knowledge of problem solving and data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
      6. Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with all levels of management.
      7. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
      8. Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint.

      Duties and Responsibilities

      1. Cross-Functional Project Team Participation:

        • Assist project staff and subject matter experts with the planning and implementation of project and sub-project work efforts.
          • Work with stakeholders in the initial project planning stage to help set project objectives and success measures.
          • Provide expertise to project managers for business or data requirements as well as ongoing reassessment as reprioritization and/or modifications to project occur.
          • Provide project data reports, ensuring reports are comprehensive, relevant and accurate, and meet all regulatory or corporate compliance requirements.
          • Design project plans including phases of the plan, work plan for staffing of each phase, deliverables and expected outcomes for each phase.
          • Participate on cross functional teams as a contributing member or consultant for data needs.
          • Resolve or assist in resolution of department project issues as assigned.
          • Work with project managers to review status reports prepared by project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule within prescribed budget guidelines:
            • Modify plans as required
            • Prepare project reports for relevant stakeholders as required
      2. Data Management, Research & Analysis:

        • Perform statistical, cost and financial analysis of data extracted from various internal and vendor sources to prepare reports based on findings to identify trends, issues and areas for improvement with guidance from senior personnel.

          • Clarify or re-define requests or business needs.
          • Design analysis framework.
          • Identify and explain data anomalies and implications. Document issue and improve data issue management processes and procedures.
          • Construct analysis documentation.
          • Provide health care quality, data, market and professional analysis to support the following functions:
            • Line of Business Plans
            • Product Development & Pricing
            • Provider Contracting & Reimbursements
            • Provider Servicing & Support
          • Support special projects with simple data analytics on an ad hoc basis.
      3. Cross-Functional Integration & Effective Communication:

        • Create and foster working relationships with internal staff and external business partners to complete quality deliverables.

          • Coordinate internal cross-departmental meetings when necessary.
          • Work directly with cross-departmental team members to complete tasks, facilitate communication, and provide status updates.
          • Work with the project team, HMSA departments and external partners to monitor, collect, communicate, and distribute information accurately and appropriately.
          • Formally or informally communicate analysis, assessments, insights and recommendations through professional written reports and presentations.
          • Cooperate with others to accomplish job duties as well as assisting others in accomplishing theirs.
      4. Other Duties/Functions:
        • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.
