      Purpose:

      The Corporate Counsel will play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Legal Officer and senior leadership with a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters. This includes intellectual property, drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, supporting corporate governance, contributing to mergers and acquisitions, and employment law strategies.

      By collaborating across departments, the Corporate Counsel will help align legal strategies with business objectives, acting as a trusted advisor who simplifies complex legal issues into clear, actionable solutions.


      Location: This position will work onsite Monday-Friday out of our Corporate Office in Sandy Springs, GA.

      Responsibilities:

      • Assist managing the company’s intellectual property assets, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights
      • Support the negotiation, drafting, and review of key contracts and agreements with customers, vendors, and partners
      • Identify legal risks across the organization and recommend strategies to mitigate them
      • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, managing the company’s legal and regulatory risks
      • Assist with mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic transactions, including due diligence and negotiation
      • Assist managing the company’s litigation portfolio, working with external counsel to resolve disputes effectively

      Required Experience

      • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the bar in Georgia or another US state with the ability to practice law in relevant jurisdictions
      • 4-6 years of legal experience, with at least 2 years in an in-house counsel role, including commercial transactions and general business experience
      • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
      • Experience with franchise law and/or IP law is a plus but not required.

      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide practical and strategic legal advice.
      • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
