      Do you want to work on exciting, cutting-edge legal issues and help shape the Amazon Store shopping experience?

      We are looking for a talented Compliance Counsel to support our rapidly expanding stores in the UK and EU.

The successful candidate will be in charge of working with business line lawyers and business partners to identify, create and develop scalable compliance and regulatory solutions to create a best-in-class customer experience. This entails serving as key partner on regulatory initiatives and providing day-to-day advice to a wide range of business teams, focusing on legal analysis, developing compliance objectives and resolving potential compliance issues that arise in our goal to be the Earth’s most customer centric company. The candidate will also need to actively build and foster close regulatory relationships.

      This role involves engagement with Amazon’s leadership in the UK and EU. Therefore, effective communication of complex matters, a history of successful regulatory management, and adeptness in data-driven solutions for intricate issues are crucial attributes.

      We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

      London, GBR• Licensed to practice law in Europe, US or other common law jurisdiction.
      • A minimum of 5+ years post bar admission legal experience, with experience at a leading law firm or in house.
      • Exceptional written and verbal English language skills.
      • Sound and practical judgment, even in ambiguous situations, and comfortable making high-quality decisions quickly and with limited information.
      • Ability to work independently and contribute successfully to cross-functional, global team.
      • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines.
