What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct thorough research on legal and regulatory matters affecting the company, focusing on underwriting and product expertise
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with legal standards
- Develop and update company policies to meet legal and regulatory requirements
- Conduct investigations into HR-related legal issues and provide guidance on resolution
- Provide legal advice on managing company and individual licensing and compliance matters
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Iowa
- Minimum 8 years of experience in insurance law and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
