We are looking to add a well-rounded litigator to our nine-person legal team. We are a fast-paced, innovative, passionate, and enthusiastic group that strives to support our Nucor teammates every day, while also maintaining real work-life balance.Job functions will include:
• Manage investigations, pre-litigation disputes, arbitration and litigation covering a broad range of topics including commercial disputes,torts, product liability, intellectual property and labor & employment issues.
• Matter oversight, including internal investigations, case strategy, discovery and collaboration with outside counsel.
• Provide strategic legal advice to business partners to mitigate litigation risk.
• Willingness to help with other legal matters, as necessary.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school, and member of the bar of a U.S. jurisdiction.
• Proven experience working at a law firm or in-house legal department for 4-7 years.
• Preference for experience managing litigation involving workplace safety and other labor and employment issues.Preferred Qualifications:
