What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide legal advice to Product Development, IT, Security, and other business units on security, privacy, AI, and general contract law
- Analyze products, policies, and initiatives to develop legal risk mitigation strategies
- Draft and review agreements and amendments to client service agreements
- Review and negotiate agreements with third-party vendors regarding data security, AI, and privacy
- Stay updated on legal and industry developments relevant to the role
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be in good bar standing with any state
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in data use, security, and privacy (US and GDPR), including experience in an in-house legal department
- Recommended experience in AI and/or privacy certification(s)
- Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a legal role focused on data security and privacy
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and their legal implications
- Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
- Strong negotiation skills in contract review and vendor agreements
