Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr

The Director of Sales-Select Service oversees sales and marketing operations for a Select Service hotel. Responsibilities include achieving occupancy and ADR growth to maximize revenue, managing sales staff, and handling budgets, forecasts, and marketing plans for up to one hotel. The role requires working as much as necessary to fulfill responsibilities, with overtime applicable for OEM associates.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hotel sales experience preferred, or a 4-year degree with at least 1 year of related experience; or a 2-year degree with at least 2 years of related experience
• Valid driver's license
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing
• Strong analytical skills and strategic vision
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and interact effectively with diverse groups
• Knowledge of sales, marketing, and hospitality principles
• Ability to work under stress and understand financial data

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sales efforts for group, transient, and catering bookings
• Develop and manage the hotel's sales and marketing budgets and plans
• Conduct outside sales calls and entertain clients
• Negotiate contract terms and develop market awareness
• Monitor top accounts and market trends
• Train hotel staff on sales opportunities
• Understand hotel operations and policies
• Maintain community and industry relationships
• Participate in meetings and training sessions
• Travel weekly as needed
• Represent the General Manager in their absence
