      General Statement of Duties:

      The Corporate Philanthropy Officer is a key member of the Focus: HOPE Development Staff and is responsible for achieving corporate fundraising objectives. Corporate giving and corporate partnerships are significant elements of this position’s duties and include identifying new relationships, and managing and growing current relationships, resulting in corporate gifts contributing to the growth and sustainability of Focus: HOPE. This position reports to the Chief Development Officer and will work in collaboration with Director of Individual Giving and serve as the primary liaison to the organization’s Advisory Committee, to ensure strong alignment to the organization’s fundraising goals. This position will supervise the Development Manager position.


      Major Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Create and implement strategies to cultivate, solicit and steward corporate philanthropy and sponsorships to meet established fundraising goals.
      • Generate revenue and secure gifts to support unrestricted and fundraising campaign goals.
      • Monitor and report fundraising activities on a regular basis, and record contacts and solicitation notes in Raisers Edge.
      • Work with Advisory Committee, providing staff support for members involved in solicitations as well as coordinating meeting materials and events.
      • Develop and implement corporate re-engagement initiatives for lapsed relationships and coordinate stewardship and recognition activities with focus on retention and increased giving.
      • Analyze data and regularly compile reports (verbal and written) to communicate results.
      • Develop and oversee corporate employee and matching gifts strategies in partnership with Individual Giving.
      • Support cross-functional referrals and revenue generation (Foundations, Annual Giving, Marketing/Communications).
      • Plan and collaborate with other development staff on cultivation and stewardship initiatives where there is overlap in the donor base.
      • Work in conjunction with event staff to plan and implement promotions and events to attract, cultivate and steward corporate donors, tracking event revenue goals and managing the budgeting process.
      • Collaborate with event staff on organization-wide special events.
      • Serve as a primary liaison to the Future Leaders of HOPE (FLOH) group.
      • Oversee the organization’s colleague giving program.
      • Oversee the organization’s third-party fundraising initiatives.
      • Supervise the Development Manager.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Skills and Abilities:

      • Strong, sincere commitment to civil and human rights.
      • High-level oral and written communication skills and ability to work and communicate in a team environment.
      • The ability to evaluate, interpret, and report donor data and giving trends.
      • Computer literacy required, including Microsoft Office.
      • Advanced working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, RENXT or other CRM tool.
      • Highly organized, able to work and supervise under pressure from deadlines and multiple priorities.
      • Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours.


      Supervision Required:

      Performs duties under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer.

      Requirements

      Education, Training & Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree required.
      • 3 – 5 years development experience.
      • Nonprofit experience.
