      Worthington Industries is looking for a Corporate Pilot to join the team. This position is responsible for facilitating the company objectives by providing; on demand, safe, effective, and efficient air transportation. Successful performance requires achievement of all the following prioritized objectives: safety, reliability, capacity, and economy. The Pilot has the overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft and the safety of crew and passengers. Prior to the flight, the Pilot will check flight plans, ensure that the aircrafts controls are operating efficiently and calculate the required fuel for the flight. Also responsible for checking the weather conditions and briefing cabin crew. Candidate must live within a 2 hour drive of the OSU Airport.

      Responsibilities

      • Ensures that preflight and post flight inspections are performed.
      • Studies weather conditions at departure, enroute, destination or alternate airports.
      • Ensures flight plans have been filed and aircraft has proper fuel loading.
      • Ensures that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers.
      • Reviews and calculates the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board and performance data and uses all appropriate checklists.
      • Makes decisions necessary to start, delay, or cancel flights and deviate from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate.
      • Assists in positioning aircraft for departure and arrival.
      • Immediately notifies the Chief Pilot of any condition that adversely affects safety, proficiency, competence or currency in any assigned duty.
      • Ensures compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Desired Experience

      • Strong ability to act under pressure
      • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
      • Proven skills as an aviator
      • Knowledge and experience relating to aircraft maintenance requirements
      • Proficient in management and administrative skills
      • Strong Leadership skills
      • Satisfactory completion of FAA yearly to demonstrate ATP standards in annual simulator training
      • 1500 hours total aircraft time, experience in aircraft of similar or higher type as Company operated aircraft.
      • Airline Transport Pilot certificate with appropriate type ratings
      • Restricted Radio Telephone Operators permit
      • Valid FAA medical certificate
