      We are hiring a Property Controller. Hotel Experience

      SUMMARY:

      Administers, directs, and controls the operations of the Accounting for a select group of hotels. Provides information, assuring ownership of proper control and prudent management through direct reporting responsibility.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Protects the assets of the corporate office and hotels.

      Provides timely accurate and meaningful financial statements to owners and management.

      Monitors bank account activity evaluating weekly cash analysis to determine payment of bills.

      Reconciles applicable accounts monthly and verifies operating bank reconciliations.

      Ensures the accuracy of monthly/quarterly sales, use, and occupancy taxes, providing support to the Assistant as necessary for investigating and resolving variances

      Analyzes and records monthly accruals for various items, which may include but are not limited to taxes, insurance, PTO, utilities, workers' compensation, franchise, management fees, and other related expenses.

      Oversees the Controller section of the annual budget and maintains regular updates to the corresponding forecast in Targetvue.

      Provides oversight for all aspects of the Accounting Assistant's job function

      Aids training of accounting department associates in accordance with established objectives, policies, and procedures as availability permits. Supports and collaborates with peers by sharing knowledge and assisting with questions and inquiries.

      Assembles information for external auditors for selected properties as requested.

      Administers and maintains accurate records of necessary federal, state, and local reports as required by the applicable laws, franchise SOPs, and Concord/local SOPs.

      Answer any property, vendor, ownership, or management inquiries, conducting necessary research to provide reliable information.

      Participates in meetings and maintains open communication with team members

      Qualifications

      Experience

      Required 5 years

      5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a significant portion of that within the hotel or hospitality sector and ideally some exposure to multi-property accounting.
