      Description

      We are seeking an energetic, versatile, and committed individual to grow the Perot Museum’s corporate giving community to help us reach our organizational goals. The Corporate Relations Manager is a key member of the Development Team and supports the direct efforts to steward and develop relationships with North Texas companies. This strategy aides the Development Team’s multi-million-dollar annual revenue goals for the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. The Corporate Relations Manager manages a portfolio of Corporate Members, as well as a large portfolio of business development prospects, and oversees stewardship and engagement for the corporate giving stream. This role reports to the Director of Corporate Relations and Volunteer Programs and will work closely with all members of the Development Team to inspire supporters to invest in the mission of the Perot Museum.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

      • Manage a portfolio of up to 150 donors and prospects and conduct meetings directly, leveraging the other Development and non-Development colleagues as needed.

      • Grow an annual corporate giving program including identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of Corporate Members and business development prospects.

      • Strategically leverage data to identify new opportunities for business development to align corporate social responsibility goals with the Perot Museum’s strategic plan and vison.

      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Manage a portfolio of current corporate members with a focus on growing relationship support along a strategic trajectory and developing well-rounded relationships through stewardship and employee engagement opportunities, such as volunteering, member events, and event rentals.

      • Proactively build a healthy pipeline of new corporate relationships to feed the membership and stewardship pipelines.

      • Work with Director to establish and manage a corporate relocation strategy and engagement program to recruit and engage companies relocating to the DFW area.

      • Create a process and timeline with key deliverables for sponsorship activations and marketing recognition, holding Museum stakeholders to deadlines and quality.

      • Support CDO and Director with sponsor prospecting by developing proposal narratives, sponsor benefit packages for prospective sponsors, impact reports, and other tasks, as needed.

      • Deliver compelling verbal pitches that incorporate investor motivations, accurate data, and inspiring stories that reflect our unique mission and work.

      • Meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish effective communications with them.

      • Support team members in producing high-quality deliverables aligned to current and prospective funder interests, such as proposals, concept papers, letters, mid-year and final reports, program budgets, thank you letters, and other stewardship items, touch points and customized materials such as spreadsheets, decks, 1-pagers, and graphics.

      Qualifications


      QUALIFICATIONS:

      Required:

      • Undergraduate degree with 3-5 years of experience in corporate development, business development, sales or marketing in a non-profit or corporate environment.

      • Demonstrated exceptional written communication and ability to develop tailored materials crafted to address corporate interest and CSR perspectives.

      • Record of achieving ambitious goals and creating effective systems to manage multiple projects.

      • Experience managing up to senior leaders; supporting others in managing to priorities

      • Proven experience with Salesforce CRM databases preferred.

      • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.

      • Must be a person who acts with integrity and is personally accountable for his/her results.

      Preferred:

      • Knowledge of DFW corporate landscape a plus.

      ABILITIES:

      • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with the staff and the public.

      • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to various software and technology programs to complete duties.

      • Self-motivated, organized, attentive to detail, and the ability to manage time and effectively function without close supervision.

      • Availability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and attend special events as needed.

      • Flexibility in outlook and ability to pivot quickly.

      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

      • Ability to relate well to constituents at all levels a must.

      Preferred:

      • Previous customer service experience.
