Corporate Reputation and Internal Communications Associate Job Description
How does this role contribute to our collective success?
AXIS is seeking a Corporate Reputation and Internal Communications Associate to join our Marketing and Communications team. This position, which is global in scope, will play an important role in implementing the Company’s enterprise-wide internal communications strategy and supporting its corporate reputation priorities including management of the Company’s social media platforms. All of our work supports the Company’s ambition of being the leading specialty underwriter.
What will you do in this role?
Your contributions will span strategic communication, employee engagement, and reputation management. Your key duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
-Supporting the creation and execution of internal communications strategies and content that reflect business priorities and organizational values.
-Collaborating with senior leaders to ensure consistency in messaging and tonality across all internal channels.
-Managing AXIS’ social media channels to help grow and strengthen the Company’s employer brand.
-Assisting in the development, socialization, and implementation of internal communications and social media plans.
In this role, you will be expected to:
-Partner with business leadership, HR/talent management, legal, and others to implement high-impact marketing, communications, and employee engagement programs and campaigns that align with business goals.
-Draft and distribute internal communications that include engaging internal content (articles, emails, etc.).
-Drive and maintain the enterprise-wide email editorial calendar while also maintaining and updating the enterprise-wide pages on our intranet “AXIS Point.”
-Assist the team in project management of internal events such as global town halls, functional town halls, internal events and retreats, and other employee engagement initiatives.
-Support select external communications activities. These include overseeing the planning and execution of the corporate social media calendar, such as creating and posting engaging content across social media platforms.
-Monitor performance of internal communications channels and recommend improvements.
Finally, we ask that you:
-Deliver clear, creative and impactful writing for large and small audiences, on a global scale.
-Demonstrate ability and willingness to provide planning and administrative support (project management skills are a must).
-Have the ability to toggle between writing, digital posting and design with minimal friction.
-Execute basic design work. An eye for good design is a plus.
-Manage the delivery of communications via digital platforms.
You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.
About You:

What you need to have:
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Communications, Journalism, Integrated Marketing or related fields.
-Exceptional interpersonal, listening and writing/editing skills.
-Excellent organizational and project management skills.
-Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Office (specifically in Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Canva.
-The ability to work well under pressure, be flexible and manage multiple projects.
-A self-starter mentality with high personal integrity.
-Intellectual curiosity and a growth mindset.
What we prefer you to have:
-Related entry-level or internship experience.
-Public relations, integrated marketing, brand fluency, and social media acumen.
-Knowledge in A.I. marketing and communications tools including Microsoft CoPilot.
Role Factors:
In this role, you will typically be required to:
-Be in the office 3 days per week
-Travel occasionally
-Take a writing test
What we offer:
For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $80-100K (NY/NJ), $75-95K (IL), $70-90K (GA). Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.
In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.
