      Job Description:

      This job is responsible for managing a corporate security function and providing guidance to the team of corporate security employees supporting that function. Key responsibilities include identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex problems. Job expectations include ensuring compliance with policies and identifying and implementing opportunities to improve performance and operating efficiency.

      Provides a safe and secure work environment through strong partnerships, timely response, education, and innovative solutions. Responsible for the administration and adherence of the threat management program. Leads team of security professionals who Identify, assess, and supervise incidents of workplace violence. Provides solutions to highly complex problems having long range impact. Provides education, awareness, implementation, and incident response. Understands violence risk assessment, recognizes warning signs of potential future violence, and develops sound mitigation strategies. Ensures compliance with the bank’s policies around acceptable behavior in the workplace and has familiarity with other applicable federal, state, and local regulations, laws and ordinances. Develops and maintains effective, active working relationships with primary clients, strategic business partners and team members and actively fosters an environment of teamwork. Provides leadership to business partners in fast paced, stressful situations. Has the ability to work independently as part of a team with little oversight, frequently under a deadline. Documents investigative results in an articulate manner that justifies and supports decision making. Conducts sensitive interviews during internal investigations, make reasonable inferences, recommends strategies, and thoroughly documents results. Consideration may be given to applicants with a suitable combination of education and/or experience involving the practice of threat management, or the mitigation of workplace violence. Is on-call 24/7 to support the team as needed during crisis/security related events.

      • Assists in the recruitment and development of corporate security professionals with the skills, attributes, and experience required.

      • Engages enterprise stakeholders proactively to build trust and effective partnerships.

      • Drives process enhancement initiatives to improve organizational performance and ensure the team is positioned against an ever-changing security environment.

      Required Qualifications:

      • At least 10 years of prior security/threat management experience, military, or law enforcement experience with specific background in workplace violence prevention, domestic violence or have a behavioral analysis background.

      • Prior experience in conducting in-depth investigations relative to assessing the threat of violence and mitigation of violence as it pertains to the workplace.

      • Have experience in managing challenging and sensitive issues that require an understanding of human behavior and de-escalates of volatile situations with empathy and compassion.

      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

      • The ability to comfortably present complex material to large audiences.

      • Critical thinking /investigative ability/problem solving capabilities.

      • Ability to influence stakeholders by building trust and inspiring confidence.

      • Effectively represent department in meetings with executives, law enforcement, and professional associations.

      • Strong relationship management skill - build/deepen partnerships with internal and external key stakeholders.

      • Adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.

      • Strong Computer Skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

      Pay and benefits information

      Pay range

      $114,000.00 - $164,800.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

      Discretionary incentive eligible

      This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
