      Position Summary

      Join Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) as a key player in driving our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and community engagement. This pivotal role involves implementing strategic directions, managing our Impact Reporting Tools, and overseeing the daily operations of the SOA Foundation. You will be at the forefront of coordinating and executing our robust employee volunteer program, and playing an integral role in internal collaborations to boost community-focused initiatives all to realize our organization's mission to support the communities we call home and be 'More Than a Car Company'.


      Major Responsibilities

      • Collects, drafts, and disseminates all communications promoting Corporate Social Responsibility, internally and externally, including the Corporate Impact Report and intranet posts.
      • Creates, oversees, and administers employee volunteerism programs, including development of activities, participation recruitment, and communications strategies, as well as vetting employee requests for organizational partnerships and activities; employee requests may come from various sources, such as Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Subaru Field (Regional/Zone office) staff, and Subaru departments such as the corporate Marketing department. Collaborates with the Marketing department, Field staff, and ERGs on local Love Promise employee volunteer activations.
      • Maintains responsibility for administering Subaru of America (SOA) Foundation matching gifts, memorial gifts, and the scholarship program. Compiles regular reporting for Board of Trustees.
      • Works with SOA Foundation grantee partners to complete program requirements, reporting, and stories through current grant program end dates.
      • Responds to, executes, and completes collection and reporting efforts for external Corporate Social Responsibility impact measurements, including surveys.
      • Administers and analyzes functions within the charitable donation, volunteer engagement, and grant system management platform. Serves as a liaison internally for system support.

      Additional Responsibilities

      • Supports and nurtures community relationships and partnerships. This will include serving as day-to-day contact for partner organizations, building relationships, and determining that activities are aligning with Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, as well as working with Corporate Social Responsibility Manager to research and assess new partnerships.
      • Works to ensure that there are no violations of the SOA Anti-Solicitation Policy.
      • Uses research, data, and trends to inform decisions and recommended courses of action.
      • Manages in-kind donation inventory with external partner distribution.
      • Maintains day-to-day relationship with Corporate Social Responsibility vendors and interns to support goals of SOA Corporate Responsibility department.

      Required Skills and Personal Qualifications

      • Excellent relationship-building skills.
      • Excellent ability to effectively communicate with all levels within Subaru, our partners, and our communities, both verbally and in writing.
      • Highly skilled at cross-functional efforts and teamwork.
      • Strong strategic skills for integrating the SOA Foundation and other non-cause marketing efforts.
      • Ability to uphold Love Promise values.
      • Understanding of budgeting concepts and guidelines.
      • Strong project management and prioritization skills.
      • Knowledge of operations and legal requirements of a corporate Foundation, community network, and non-profit operations.

      Educational/Experience Requirements: 4-year college degree (BA, BS), with 4 to 6 years relevant experience.

      Work Environment

      • Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)
      • Travel Required: Up to 10%
      • Internal Work Environment: Prolonged sitting at desk and working on computer. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. in materials.

      Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $67900 - $83000 / year. (P2) Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, 0nd relevant education or training.
