      About the Position:

      The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for preparing account reconciliations, supporting the close functions of the corporate accounting team, real estate lease accounting duties, compliance with GAAP and adherence to company policies and procedures.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of corporate accounts.

      • Complete lease related accounting tasks in coordination with the vendor payables team and HUB’s real estate team.

      • Prepare accurate, compliant and timely balance sheet reconciliations as assigned

      • Collaborate across the organization to identify and correct accounting allocations.

      • Review P&L activity against budget and prior year for any amounts that may have been miscoded

      • Create applicable correcting reclass journal entries

      • Record weekly bank activity into the general ledger and help reconcile transactions to the general ledger

      • Complete accurate bank reconciliations within the SLAs, ensuring no reconciling items aged over 30 days.

      • Research and analyze data as requested. Run and distribute month end and ad-hoc reports.

      Candidate Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent

      • Understanding of GAAP and its application to day-to-day processes

      • At least 2 years’ experience in accounting field

      • Good written and verbal communication skills

      • Intermediate to advanced excel skills

      • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and achieve results

      • Flexibility of work hours to support close timelines

      • Lease accounting experience is a plus
