- Define and deconstruct problems; prioritize issues, analysis, and team capacity
- Structure and build quantitative and qualitative/conceptual analyses and analyze operational and financial data
- Perform competitor/industry research leveraging both public and non-public sources
- Participate in and independently conduct internal and external interviews
- Identify implications and “so whats” of data and analysis with the team
- Contribute to concise communication materials for senior management
- Example projects include, but are not limited to:
- Developing growth strategies
- Assessing and planning market entry
- Managing cross-line of business and corporate function initiatives
- 1-2 years of experience from either a premier management consulting firm, OR from an investment banking (M&A, Coverage, Capital Markets, Equity Research) division
- Diverse problem solving experience, such as experience with a top management consulting firm or in other generalist problem solving environments across financial services sectors
- An outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; effective communication (oral and written) and ability to work well in cross-functional teams
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Banking clients or Financial Institutions Group (FIG)
The Corporate Strategy team supports all JPMC lines of business and functional groups on a project basis, addressing topics at the top of senior management agendas. Projects are typically team-based and include heavy interaction and collaboration with senior executives across the Firm. Our focused group of about 20 professionals comes directly from top strategy consulting firms, investment banks, other internal JPMorgan Chase groups and leading undergraduate and graduate programs.
As an Analyst on the Corporate Strategy team, you will help solve complex problems and implementation issues critical to the company.
