      Capital Management is a team within the Treasury/Chief Investment Office that partners with several JPMorgan functions, including line of business Treasurers and Finance teams, Policy, Risk Management, Investor Relations, senior leaders and other stakeholders to manage the firm’s capital position and capital stress testing processes, provide perspective on regulatory capital-related topics, and guide the lines of business on efficient capital and balance sheet decisions.

      Job Responsibilities

      You will be a member of the Stress Capital Analytics team within Treasury – Capital Management. The individual will report to the Stress Capital Analytics Lead and partner with colleagues across the Firm in Treasury, Corporate Finance, Risk Management, and the lines of business.

      Some of the key dimensions of the role are:

      • Develop financial forecast models and perform detailed analysis to support capital management initiatives
      • Prepare high quality and well-structured presentations for Senior Management, Board of Directors, Regulatory Agencies, and other key stakeholders
      • Perform research and ad-hoc analysis to support regulatory capital efforts and the firm’s capital stress testing processes
      • Help to execute the firm’s capital planning and stress testing processes
      • Develop an understanding of JPM’s regulatory capital requirements and processes
      • Drive end-to-end work streams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

      The position offers good visibility into strategic capital management activities as well as the unique opportunity to understand initiatives from a Firmwide perspective. The team regularly produces analysis to support business decisions at a variety of settings, including the Capital Stress Testing Executive Steering Committee, Capital Governance Committee, Asset and Liability Committee, and the Board of Directors. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, handle ambiguity, and proactively seek support and input where required. The ability to pick up new and complex concepts quickly, work efficiently, and communicate effectively will be one of the keys to success.

      Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

      • 2-4 years of full-time work experience, ideally in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Risk Management, or Management Consulting. Relevant knowledge in one of the key content areas preferred (e.g., financial analysis, capital)
      • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or Mathematics
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare executive-level presentations
      • Proficiency in PowerPoint and advanced Excel techniques (e.g., array formulas, data tables); experience using a coding language (e.g., Python) is a benefit
      • Qualified candidates will be highly resourceful, self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and hunger to learn
